The Role We are seeking a sharp and proactive Tax Specialist to play a critical role in our regional tax function. Reporting to the Head of Tax, you will be instrumental in ensuring compliance and driving tax efficiency across a diverse portfolio of entities in the APAC region, including Singapore, Australia, Japan, and New Zealand. This position goes beyond traditional compliance, offering the chance to contribute directly to strategic tax planning that supports our global trading objectives. Key Responsibilities Manage Compliance: Lead the corporate income tax compliance process for key APAC entities, including the preparation and review of tax returns, filings, and statutory schedules. Support Financial Reporting: Assist in the review of current and deferred tax provisions during the quarterly and annual financial reporting cycles. Drive Tax Strategy: Contribute to the development and implementation of tax planning strategies to optimize the Group's cash flow, effective tax rate, and manage financial exposures. Mitigate Risk: Help coordinate and prepare robust responses to tax audits, reviews, and inquiries from various regional Tax Authorities. Provide Commercial Advice: Offer practical tax advice on a range of business activities, including M&A, restructuring, intercompany arrangements, and transfer pricing documentation. Stakeholder Management: Liaise effectively with external advisors, auditors, and internal teams (Legal, Treasury, Accounting) to ensure best‑practice tax governance. Your Profile A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. At least 6 years of relevant tax experience, ideally gained within a multinational corporation or a leading professional services firm. A strong, working knowledge of Singapore corporate income tax principles is essential. Proven exposure to international tax concepts and transfer pricing is highly valued.
