Responsibilities Work in a large hospital setting with 16 operating rooms, primarily serving cardiac, trauma, neuro, and pediatric patients Patient population includes cardiac, neuro, ortho (trauma), gyn, uro, general, robotics, pediatrics, transplants, plastics, ENT, and vascular Average caseload is 35-50 surgical cases per day, with a patient ratio of 1:1 Utilizes specialized equipment including 3 Da Vinci robots, Stealth neuro navigation, and Synthes or Stryker ortho trauma systems Operates as a Level I trauma center with dedicated trauma resources EPIC is the electronic medical record system used Required to float across multiple campuses Weekend call runs from end of shift Friday until 6:30am Monday Expect less than 20-minute room turnovers on average Scrubs are provided for this role Must be comfortable with a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment Potential to work in both circulating and scrub roles during the contract A performance reference from within the last 2 years is required for consideration Requirements Active Iowa or compact RN license required Minimum 2 years of recent operating room experience Proficient in both scrub and circulating roles Competency in general, robotics, pediatrics, and trauma cases is required Additional experience in neuro, ortho trauma, gyn, uro, transplants, plastics, ENT, and vascular service lines is preferred Current BLS (AHA) certification required Recent Level I trauma center experience is required EPIC EMR experience within the past 3 years Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-612764.
