Senior Quantity Surveyor

Position : Senior Quantity Surveyor Location : Bristol and South Wales Work Pattern : 12 month contract Possible extension About the Role: Working for a leading energy infrastructure provider, this role involves supporting major electricity transmission projects across the UK. The position focuses on the design, construction, and commissioning of high-voltage substations and associated transmission assets, ensuring the delivery of critical upgrades and new installations within a collaborative framework. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all commercial aspects of multiple projects from inception to final account. Expertly manage and administer NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contracts (ECC), including Early Warnings, Compensation Events, and payment applications. Implement robust cost control measures, produce accurate CVRs, and provide detailed financial reports and forecasts to senior management. Proactively identify, assess, and manage commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle. Manage the procurement and commercial administration of subcontractors, ensuring compliance and performance. Meticulously manage all contract variations and compensation events, negotiating and agreeing on fair and reasonable costs. Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with clients, consultants, and internal project teams. Potentially mentor and guide junior members of the commercial team. Requirements: Knowledge of the Electricity Transmission industry Previous experience in Quantity Surveying with a relevant qualification Contract costing knowledge Contract law NEC 3 & 4, Option A, C & E Subcontract Management & cost / value reconciliation Excellent negotiating interpersonal & communication skills Analytical skills & financial awareness Full Clean UK Driving license - travel to sites & regional offices required If you're interested, click apply or contact luiz.azoni@ersg-global.com
