HGV Class 1 Day Driver People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Day Driver to join our well-established client based in the West Midlands . This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay , ongoing work , and genuine potential for a permanent position . Shifts: • Monday to Friday – PM Shifts Rates of Pay: • Basic: £18.20 per hour • Overtime: £25.44 per hour Benefits: • Free on-site parking • Excellent overtime rates • Ongoing, consistent work • Weekly pay • Holiday pay • Potential to secure a permanent position • Supportive working environment Day-to-Day Duties: • Carry out Class 1 trunking runs to RDCs across the UK • Operate and drive HGV Class 1 (Category CE) vehicles safely and efficiently • Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks • Ensure all loads are safely and securely fastened • Deliver goods in a timely and professional manner • Communicate effectively with the transport office regarding any delays or issues • Adhere to all UK traffic laws and working time regulations Essential Skills: • Held a valid UK Category CE Driving Licence for a minimum of 12 months • Valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN10, DR10, or DD10 endorsements) • Excellent communication and customer service skills • Strong understanding of UK transport legislation and safe driving practices Desirable Experience: • Previous experience in a similar Class 1 trunking role Training Provided: • No formal training provided – prior experience required Apply Today: If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as an HGV Class 1 Day Driver , apply today by clicking the link below or contact our recruitment team for more information.
