Applications Engineer

JOB – Applications Engineer (Automotive Sector) LOCATION – York TERM – Permanent SALARY – £28,000 to £35,000 per annum (plus benefits) My client is a specialist engineering company supplying into the automotive sector , providing innovative mechanical solutions and high-performance systems. They are looking to take on an Applications Engineer to join their team in York . The Applications Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: • Experience or interest in working within the automotive or motorsport industries • Proficiency with SolidWorks for design and development tasks • Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes • Excellent communication skills for liaising with customers and internal teams • Ability to interpret customer requirements and translate them into practical engineering solutions • A relevant engineering qualification (HNC, HND, BEng, MEng, or similar) • A proactive and adaptable approach, with strong problem-solving abilities The Applications Engineer role will involve: • Supporting customers with technical queries and providing engineering solutions • Using SolidWorks to design and adapt components and assemblies to suit client requirements • Liaising with production and project teams to ensure successful delivery of projects • Preparing technical documentation, drawings, and supporting data • Providing technical input during quotation and proposal stages • Visiting customers when required to discuss applications and provide on-site support • Assisting in the continuous improvement of product performance and customer satisfaction If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up-to-date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and salary expectations.
