Job Description

Asset Engineer (Drainage) Contract: 6 months Location: Kent & Sussex £446 per day We’re seeking an experienced Asset Engineer (Drainage) to support drainage asset management and maintenance activities across the Southern Region. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring drainage assets are effectively examined, evaluated, and maintained to meet safety and operational standards. Working Pattern: Minimum 2 days per week in London office or equivalent site visits Essential Skills & Experience HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering. Proven experience in drainage or hydrology, ideally within infrastructure or rail environments. Strong knowledge of drainage policies, standards, and maintenance practices. Understanding of safety management systems and risk assessment techniques. Awareness of Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations. Working towards professional membership with a relevant institution. PTS and Health & Safety Sentinel competencies required. Desirable Degree in a relevant engineering discipline. Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status. Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., ICE, CIWEM).
