Job Title: Business Development Manager – Value-Added Services/Solutions Location: South-East England (Hybrid – Field-Based / Office / Remote) - Must have full UK driving licence Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Be part of something bigger. They are now seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM) to join their award-winning, forward-thinking team. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in accelerating growth across the South-East region by bringing expert insight, consultative sales techniques, and a passion for delivering meaningful outcomes to every customer interaction. What You’ll Be Doing As a Business Development Manager , you’ll be at the forefront of a solutions-driven sales strategy. This hybrid role sees you in the field four days per week, actively engaging with both new and existing customers to uncover opportunities and drive adoption of innovative solutions – with a focus on Inventory and Procurement offerings. Key responsibilities include: Partnering with Sales and Account Management teams to identify, develop, and close solution-led opportunities across your region. Taking a consultative, insight-led approach to understand customer challenges and align tailored solutions that create long-term value. Leading and supporting customer discovery sessions to gather insight, influence key stakeholders, and co-create compelling solution propositions. Acting as a subject matter expert on value-added services, guiding customers through the journey from discovery to delivery. Coaching and supporting Account Managers in articulating the value proposition and elevating solution conversations with customers. Collaborating closely with Sales Leaders to advance pipeline velocity and ensure a high-quality sales process from end to end. What You’ll Bring A strong background in consultative, solutions-based B2B sales , ideally in industrial, logistics, or business services sectors. Proven experience of working with MRO stakeholders , identifying customer pain points, and crafting solutions that drive measurable impact. Demonstrated success in generating demand , not just responding to it – with a proactive, opportunity-focused mindset. The ability to influence at all levels , build trust, and shape customer thinking by highlighting value and differentiation. A collaborative nature – someone who thrives on working cross-functionally to deliver the best outcomes for customers and the business. Comfortable operating autonomously in a field-based role, while staying connected to wider team objectives and strategies. Desirable (Not Essential) Continuous Improvement (CI) qualifications and/or experience. Familiarity with value selling frameworks and business process mapping.
