Job Title: Senior Contracts Specialist Location: North East Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: Up to £65k Benefits Industry: Offshore Wind, Tidal, Oil & Gas About the Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially astute and legally minded professional to join a dynamic and growing organisation operating across the renewables sector. As part of a collaborative contracts team, the Senior Contracts Specialist will provide legal and commercial support across a wide range of matters, including contract negotiation, dispute resolution, and bid submissions. Key Responsibilities: Review and assess customer enquiries and commercial terms for product purchases. Advise on contractual exceptions and risk mitigation strategies. Lead contract negotiations to secure mutually beneficial agreements. Support bid submissions with commercial input and finalise contracts. Review purchase orders and prepare documentation for project handover. Liaise with external legal advisors to ensure compliance and reduce contractual risk. Uphold company standards in Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental practices. What We’re Looking For: Essential: Proven experience in reviewing and negotiating contract terms and conditions. Strong administrative and IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office. Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure with attention to detail. Desirable: Experience in an engineering or technical environment. Legal qualification (Solicitor or equivalent); engineering background advantageous.
