Product Analytics Lead - AI SaaS Scale-up - London (Hybrid)

About the Role Stax Recruitment is proud to partner with a rapidly scaling SaaS innovator in the search for a Product Analytics Lead . This is a hands-on, high-impact leadership role at the core of the company’s data strategy—responsible for building the foundation that enables intelligent, data-driven decisions across their platform, applications, and AI-powered experiences. This isn’t analytics as usual. You’ll be defining an AI-native, developer-first analytics platform where real-time data, customer context, and machine reasoning come together to deliver insights that go far beyond traditional dashboards. You’ll own the product vision and roadmap for a next-generation analytics engine—one that empowers both humans and agents to query, visualize, and act on data. You’ll also oversee the company’s in-app SDK for instrumentation and engagement analytics, transforming raw telemetry into actionable insights across product, support, and engineering workflows. Key Responsibilities Define & Drive the Analytics Platform Vision Build and scale a high-performance, low-latency analytics engine that supports embedded dashboards, cross-source joins, and both human and AI-native querying (e.g. Text-to-SQL). Leverage in-app instrumentation (session replays, logs, engagement events) to enable observability, anomaly detection, and customer experience analytics. Build AI-Enabled Interactions Lead the development of agentic capabilities—such as natural language querying, AI-generated dashboards, and real-time recommendations—integrating structured data with intelligent systems. Deliver Embedded & In-Process Analytics Use modern query engines (e.g. DuckDB) to enable fast, secure, and local analytics inside apps and notebooks. Design for Multiple Personas Create adaptable tools and visualizations that serve developers, product managers, GTM teams, and support leaders—balancing usability, flexibility, and technical depth. Champion Developer Experience Treat analytics as a product for builders: emphasize modular design, great documentation, clean APIs, and extensibility. Integrate Across the Stack Ensure seamless interoperability with the company’s knowledge graph, customer 360 data, product workflows, and AI agents. Candidate Profile 8 years of product management or related experience with a focus on analytics platforms, embedded BI, or developer-oriented data tools Experience with SDK-based instrumentation, session replay, or in-app analytics Familiarity with technologies such as DuckDB or similar embedded query engines for in-process analytics Understanding of modern AI-native analytics paradigms (Text-to-SQL, natural language querying, agentic workflows) Ability to design for both technical (engineering, data) and non-technical (support, GTM) audiences Proven track record of collaborating closely with engineering, AI/ML, and design teams to build performant, scalable systems Why This Role This is more than just building dashboards—you’ll be defining the next generation of analytics experiences.
