Job Description

Electrical & Automation Technician Are you an experienced Electrical & Automation Technician ready to play a key role in maintaining and optimising cutting-edge manufacturing and packaging equipment? We’re looking for a proactive professional to ensure the reliable and compliant operation of production machinery and supporting systems in a GMP-regulated environment. What You’ll Do Maintain, fault find and repair electrical equipment and controls for production and packaging machinery. Apply Good Manufacturing & Engineering Practices to all tasks. Develop, follow, and update procedures, job plans, and standards. Implement preventative, run time, and reactive maintenance strategies. Supervise external contractors and equipment vendors. Manage plant modifications, spare parts requirements, and shutdown planning. Lead risk assessments, method statements, and deviation investigations. Support production, technical, and quality teams as needed. Operate and maintain PLC/PC systems, perform back-ups, and ensure software version control. Modify PLC programs, ladder logic, and configurable device parameters. What We’re Looking For Strong fault-finding skills and attention to detail. Formal engineering qualification Multi-disciplined with excellent communication skills. Adaptability to meet changing production needs. Root cause analysis mindset with a drive to prevent recurrence. Strong organisational and planning abilities. Computer literacy and experience with PLC systems.
