HGV Class 2 Driver

We are seeking an experienced Class 2 HGV driver for our client based in Ullapool however applicants from the Inverness area are also welcome to apply. This is a full time permanent role based in the Ullapool / Inverness area. Duties: Driving vehicle in accordance with the law and safe working practices Driving within the tachograph law, driver hours and working time directive requirements. Ensuring the vehicle is safely loaded and secured to minimise the risk of damage to the load, injury to persons, and /or damage to premises or other vehicles. Make timely collections and deliveries as scheduled, this will include travel to Stornoway Prepare vehicle for use, carrying out daily safety checks, reporting any non-conformances Maintain the cleanliness of the drivers cab and vehicle exterior. Complete delivery / collection paperwork. Keep records of mileage, fuel use, and other costs incurred. Attend essential training in order to carry out the driver role. Adhere to Company policies, procedures and standards, including operational, technical, Health & Safety and Human Resources to ensure the Company operates within legal and best practice guidelines Qualifications: Valid Clean HGV Licence 1 year experience in an HGV Driver role Ability to follow instruction. Excellent timekeeping and attendance. Good knowledge of geographical areas. Adaptable to business needs and change. Practical, enthusiastic with a flexible approach to work Familiarity operating standard vehicle equipment. e.g pallet trucks.
