HGV Class 1 Night Driver People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Night Driver to join our well-established client based in Walsall, West Midlands . Shifts: Monday to Friday: start times 8pm Rates of pay: Nights: £18.00 per hour Benefits include: Your benefits as a HGV Class 1 Night Driver Excellent hourly rates Ongoing work Weekly pay On-site canteen Training provided Immediate starts Employee well-being programme Day-to-day duties: As a HGV Class 1 Night Driver, your duties will include (but not be limited to): Simple 1 stop trunking (no handball required) Same run nightly Operating and driving Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured properly Adhering to traffic laws and regulations Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo when required Essential skills: To be successful as a HGV Class 1 Night Driver, you will need: A valid UK Category CE licence A minimum of twelve months experience driving CE vehicles No more than six penalty points for minor infringements, with no major endorsement codes A valid UK CPC card and Digi card Good spoken and written English Punctuality and excellent time-keeping skills A solid understanding of traffic laws and regulations Effective communication skills Desirable experience: Previous commercial driving experience Previous multi-drop delivery experience Training: Driver's assessment must be completed before starting A one-day paid induction will follow successful assessment Contact: If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as a HGV Class 1 Night Driver, apply today by clicking the link below or contact our recruitment team to find out more People Solutions do not charge candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process
