Junior Farm Manager

Golden Yolk is looking for two Junior Farm Managers – one located in Paarl, and the other in Darling. This position is ideal for a dynamic person who wants to grow his/her career. The ideal candidate is a neat and proactive individual with excellent leadership, planning and communication skills (Afrikaans and English). Responsibilities include: Assist in the management of layer poultry farming and all relevant farming activities Assist in the management of poultry houses Personnel management Ensure that bio-security measures are adhered to Assist with production planning Assist with stock management and purchases Administration of checklists and farming operations Assist with maintenance and inventory management of equipment, vehicles and tools Requirements Relevant tertiary qualification (diploma / degree) will be beneficial Previous exposure to the agriculture industry will strengthen the application Exposure in a layer poultry production environment will be beneficial Organisational and planning skills Problem-solving and decision-making skills Interpersonal skills Professional administrative and computer skills
