ADAS Performance Specialist Jr

We are looking for a passionate Junior Engineer to support the evaluation and validation of vehicle dynamics and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS ). You will contribute to the development of vehicles with a well-defined dynamic character safe and reliable, where critical safety systems such as braking and driver assistance operate in perfect harmony. Your work will help ensure that each vehicle meets customer expectations and global market standards . General activities: Requirements Identification: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and document all ADAS feature requirements. Performance Target Definition: Support the establishment of key performance objectives for ADAS functions through competitive benchmarking, customer feedback analysis, and industry insights. Validation Planning: Assist in creating and maintaining the central validation plan in collaboration with the vehicle testing engineering team. Provide impact assessments for product or feature modifications, ensuring traceability and alignment with performance goals. Participate in the identification and resolution of cross-functional issues affecting ADAS system performance. Development and Validation Support by contributing to the testing, validation, and refinement of ADAS features on vehicle prototypes. Test Plan Definition, giving support to the Performance Engineer in defining both virtual and experimental development test plans, coordinated through the Integrated Test Plan (PSI). Assist in system calibration activities , working closely with internal departments and external system suppliers. Data Analysis: Collect and analyze objective data to quantify subjective driving impressions and identify performance gaps relative to defined targets. Knowledge Management: Document lessons learned and contribute to the creation of ADAS-related technical know-how and technology roadmaps. Perform benchmarking studies of ADAS technologies and system features from leading competitors. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (in progress or recently completed) in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automotive, or Aerospace Engineering (or a related field). Basic understanding of Stellantis Development Processes, including key vehicle and electrical development milestones . Familiarity with the V-Model development methodology and requirements traceability . Foundational knowledge in Vehicle Dynamics — understanding variables that affect handling, stability, and braking performance. Awareness of ADAS Product Development cycles and processes. Exposure to premium/luxury automotive brands or environments is considered an advantage. Basic knowledge of DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) methodologies — Green Belt certification preferred. Intermediate Technical Communication skills , including technical presentations and summarizing complex engineering data for stakeholders. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Curiosity for vehicle dynamics and intelligent safety systems. Ability to work with international teams . Motivation to learn within a fast-paced, innovation-oriented automotive environment. Proactive and detail-oriented, with a focus on continuous improvement. Deserable Certifications: DFSS Green Belt (Design for Six Sigma) – preferred. Any relevant training in Vehicle Dynamics, ADAS Development , or Automotive Systems Engineering is a plus.
