Head of Permitting

I’m currently partnering with a well-established renewable energy developer and IPP based in Milan that’s looking for a Head of Permitting to join their team. This company has been active in the international market for 10 years, working across planning, development, construction, and operation of large-scale solar PV, wind, and battery energy storage (BESS) projects. With a 2.5GW pipeline and significant backing from major European banks, they’re well-positioned for long-term growth. You’ll be responsible for : Leading permitting across a portfolio of utility-scale PV, wind & BESS projects in Italy Liaising with public authorities, consultants, and internal teams Managing permitting timelines, risks, and regulatory approvals Supporting project development strategy and team leadership Ideal profile : Strong experience in permitting for renewable energy projects in Italy Deep understanding of national and local permitting processes Knowledge of solar, wind, or BESS technologies Fluency in Italian and solid English skills Leadership potential or experience What’s on offer : Senior-level position with real impact and visibility Hybrid working : 3 days per week in Milan Strong financial backing and stable long-term strategy Opportunity to manage and grow a permitting team If you’re looking to join a well-funded, growth-focused renewable business with real influence in the Italian market, this could be a great next step.
