Staff Accountant

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a STAFF ACCOUNTANT to support a respected educational organization in Montgomery County, PA. This full-time, on-site role offers the opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven school community that provides authentic, individualized learning experiences for students from toddlers through adolescence. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting the Business Office by managing payroll, benefits administration, bookkeeping, and compliance functions. Key Responsibilities: Process and manage bi-weekly payroll and related accounting functions Maintain accurate employee records, including new hire documentation and benefit elections Administer employee benefits and assist with open enrollment Reconcile benefit invoices and ensure proper billing for enrolled employees Support compliance with ACA, HIPAA, FLSA, and other applicable regulations Track employee attendance, training, and clearances Prepare reports and assist with audit and budget preparation Support the Chief Financial & Operating Officer with bookkeeping and risk management tasks Assist with data collection and completion of various financial surveys Perform other accounting and HR duties as assigned Key Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting (required) Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration, bookkeeping, or accounting Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience in a school or non-profit environment (preferred) To Apply: Call 215-893-1200 and ask for Ron or email your resume to Ronald.Samuels@Expresspros.com .
