Junior Mechanical Design Engineer £240-£260 per day / £30-£32.50 per hour (DOE) Contract: Temp-Perm (initial 3-month temporary period) An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a well-established building services contractor based in Shepperton. This is a fantastic role for someone with a solid foundation in AutoCAD and Hevacomp, looking to develop hands-on experience in a busy office that delivers a wide range of HVAC and mechanical services projects across the South East. You'll be joining a supportive design team, working closely with experienced engineers to produce drawings, calculations, and technical documentation for live projects. As a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be: Producing detailed 2D mechanical layout drawings using AutoCAD. Using Hevacomp software to carry out heating and cooling gains and losses calculations. Preparing and reviewing technical submittals and design documentation. Completing ductwork and pipework loss calculations with guidance from senior engineers. Supporting project delivery from concept through to completion.To be successful as the Junior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will need: Experience using AutoCAD (2D) and Hevacomp. You will be expected to hit the ground running. Knowledge of mechanical building services design principles. The ability to prepare accurate and well-presented technical documentation. Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.Junior Mechanical Design Engineer will be on £(Apply online only) a day / £30-32.50ph, depending on experience, with the opportunity for permanent employment after 3 months Progression.
