Cyber Defense Engineer

About The Company: Randstad is the 1 HR Services Provider in the world, and we are looking for a Cyber Defense Engineer to join our Nearshore Center at Randstad Mexico. Key Responsibilities: Threat Analysis and Investigation: The candidate will be responsible for thoroughly investigating complex security alerts, not just the basic ones. They're also expected to analyze incidents and suggest new playbooks for response. SOC Operations: This role involves working in a Security Operations Center (SOC) team , collaborating with other global teams to ensure the company's security and resilience. Continuous Improvement: The role will require working with threat intelligence and vulnerability management leads to design and enhance threat detection capabilities. Operational Support: The candidate will assist with various operational tasks and, during critical security incidents, will join the CSIRT team to help resolve challenges quickly and decisively. Requirements Analysis and Problem-Solving: Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess security events, evaluate risks, and make informed decisions during investigations. Cybersecurity Knowledge: Understanding of cybersecurity principles, the threat landscape, and various attack vectors. Tool Proficiency: Experience with industry-leading SIEM and EDR tools for monitoring and analyzing security events. Network Knowledge: Basic understanding of network protocols, traffic analysis, and the ability to identify suspicious activity. Communication: Clear and concise communication skills to report incidents, write documentation, and interact with team members and stakeholders. Nice to have: Certifications: A CISSP or similar certification is considered a plus. Specific Frameworks: A basic understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework is valuable.
