Automation Mechanical Engineer Senior

We are looking for an experienced Senior Automation Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Val della Torre (TO) . The selected candidate will play a key role providing the Research and Development and Product Development departments with technical expertise and skills for the design, production, and maintenance of hardware components, in accordance with agreed timelines and applicable regulations. Key responsibilities include: Design of mechanical automation systems, component drawings and sizing. Collaboration with the Technical Documentation and Manuals group. Identification of solutions that meet design requirements and comply with product robustness and manufacturing requirements – including ergonomics, maintainability, cost‑effectiveness, usability and aesthetics. Researching, proposing and developing the best technological solutions to be adopted and standardized in the company’s product range. Ensuring the accuracy, completeness and updating of technical data in documents. Collaboration with the Prototyping group during prototype assembly and implementation of improvements identified during prototype assembly. Active support to Service and Production, investigating causes and defining preventive and corrective solutions for hardware issues found in the field or during assembly. Support to Procurement in supplier evaluation, selection and engagement, and in the management of obsolescence and hard‑to‑find materials. Requirements: Over 10 years of experience in automation. Knowledge of 3D modelling. Knowledge of PDM/PLM systems. Proficient use of Office Suite. Strong problem‑solving skills. Experience with FEM tools and general simulation tools for structural analysis. Knowledge of robotic systems (Cartesian, SCARA, anthropomorphic). Nice to have: Knowledge of SolidWorks. Knowledge of thermal analysis simulation tools.
