Travel Nurse RN - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit - $1,744 per week in Austin, TX

Job Title: RN - CVICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Critical Care Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Valid RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Experience with cardiac monitoring and rhythms Experience with titratable drips Understanding of hemodynamics Experience with respiratory patients: vents, Bipap, trachs, airvo Experience with open heart surgery recovery Experience with ECMO, Impella, balloon pumps Experience with CRRT/SLED Description: This is a contract position for an RN specializing in Critical Care. The schedule is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The position requires working weekends. The unit consists of 8 beds and has a staff of 25. Patient ratios are typically 2:1 or 1:1. The unit utilizes GE bedside monitors, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis. Experience with Centrimag ECMO Circuits, Impella CP & 5.5, and Prismax CRRT machines is necessary. Candidates should be team players with positive attitudes. Scrub color is navy. Skills such as CVICU charge experience are preferred. Typical procedures include central line and chest tube insertion, bronchoscopies, tracheostomies, and intubation.
