Job Description
Are you passionate about driving complex space projects from concept to orbit? An ambitious NewSpace organisation at the forefront of in-orbit services is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead the development and delivery of next-generation satellite missions – including inspection, life-extension, and docking services for GEO satellites. You’ll join a highly collaborative, international team of engineers and mission specialists who are redefining what’s possible in autonomous orbital operations. This is a hands-on role where technical depth, leadership, and precision execution come together to deliver genuine impact in space. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end satellite mission delivery – from initial planning through launch and in-orbit operations. Develop detailed project plans covering schedules, budgets, risk management, and resource allocation. Coordinate cross-functional teams and suppliers, ensuring alignment on scope, milestones, and deliverables. Oversee procurement and supplier contracts, driving performance and cost efficiency. Chair project milestone reviews, progress meetings, and debriefs, ensuring clear communication across all stakeholders. Support spacecraft design, development, integration, and testing (MAIT), maintaining compliance with technical and regulatory requirements. Manage relationships with launch providers and ensure readiness for successful deployment. Monitor in-orbit commissioning and performance, applying lessons learned to future missions. Foster collaboration across engineering, operations, and management teams using visual project tools and strong leadership practices. About You Degree (BSc/MSc) in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Project Management, or similar. 7 years’ experience managing complex, multidisciplinary space or satellite projects. Strong technical understanding of spacecraft systems, MAIT processes, launch campaigns, and in-orbit operations. Proven ability to deliver high-value projects under tight deadlines. Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of uniting international teams. Fluent in English (French proficiency highly advantageous).
