QC Technologist

The QC Technologist is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day Quality Control activities Key Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day Quality Control activities Chiller release and other QC activities including Ph. Promote a food safety culture and culture of quality within the facility Ensure that food safety is understood by assistant employees and managers if needed Coordinate training needs where required Completion and feedback to customers on questionnaires, certificate and company documentation when required Oversee the in-coming raw materials protocol, verification of records and feedback on any rejections/returns, etc Communicate quality and food safety risks to the manager Ensure that any deviations related to Quality and food safety are addressed and communicated to the Production Manager and QA Manager Report any deviations immediately and coordinate the corrections where needed Assist the quality team where needed Coordinate and assist with audits and documentation requirements Draft, update and amend documentation on sever as well as Shopware Follow-up on NCR's if required and feedback Ensure that all filing is done with regards to FSMS Visual checks within facility to monitor food safety risks and verify quality Temperature verifications and PH checks Verification of cleaning and sanitation activities Foreign body management Verification and calibration of measuring equipment Verification of personal hygiene within the facility Verification of product and packaging specification Verification of traceability within the facility, which includes expiry dates and labelling Other Quality related administration General qualify monitoring and verification during product and post-production Verification of QC documentation Micro sampling schedules and data processing. Trending on testing reports. Customer complaints handling, management of all records and follow-ups to feedback to sales Assess, coordinate and manage all product returns Assessment with CMI and completion of relevant records, feedback to team and top management Understand the company product specifications and requirements and implement Adhere to the Duties and Responsibilities set out in the section on duties Obligated to enforce and action discipline to staff, such as written warnings and books of hearings Can work overtime when needed Qualifications: N.DIP for Food Technologist/Animal Science/Agriculture Experience: 1-2 years experience in Abattoir industry Skills: Computer skills Good communication skills
