Night Shift Diesel Mechanic

Were looking for a qualified and experienced Diesel Mechanic to take on a critical role in the maintenance and repair of mining equipment, specifically drill rigs, loaders, and other diesel-powered machinery. You'll be based on-site, ensuring that our fleet operates safely and efficiently, with minimal downtime. Key Responsibilities: Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on heavy mining equipment (drill rigs, loaders, etc.). Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults. Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostics systems. Respond promptly to breakdowns and perform field service work as needed. Ensure that all work complies with health, safety, and environmental standards. Maintain accurate job cards, inspection reports, and service records. Collaborate with Supervisors and other trades to meet production goals. Job Experience & Skills Required (Ideal Candidate Profile): Trade Qualified Diesel Mechanic (Red Seal or equivalent) Minimum 35 years experience working on mining equipment Experience with Sandvik, Epiroc, Atlas Copco or similar underground equipment Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and diesel systems Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and reading fault codes Valid drivers license (Code 08 or higher) Sound knowledge of safety protocols in mining operations Advantageous (Not Essential): Underground mining experience OEM certifications or dealer training Knowledge of CMMS (e.g., SAP and Pronto) Basic welding or fabrication skills If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply directly.
