Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Buckinghamshire Salary: £45,000 - £57,000 per annum We are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading engineering company based in Buckinghamshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects within sectors such as motorsport, green energy, product development, and future powertrains. Responsibilities: Design and develop complex mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software (SolidWorks, NX, or Creo). Create 3D models, detailed engineering drawings, and documentation to support manufacturing and testing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, software, and manufacturing engineers to ensure design intent and functionality. Conduct design reviews, tolerance analysis, and performance validation. Drive continuous improvement and innovation across all design activities. Requirements: UK Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Automotive Engineering or a similar discipline. Minimum of 5 years’ relevant industry experience. Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, NX, and/or Creo. Experience working within one or more of the following industries is highly desirable: Motorsport, Green Energy, Product Development, or Future Powertrains. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
