Job Description
The Opportunity: We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee multiple construction projects from start to finish. This role plays a key part in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll collaborate closely with superintendents, estimators, subcontractors, and clients to drive project success and strengthen long-term partnerships. What You’ll Be Doing: Lead the management of multiple, concurrent construction projects with minimal supervision. Set priorities, allocate tasks, and coordinate project teams to meet milestones and deliverables. Plan, prepare, and maintain project schedules in collaboration with site teams and stakeholders. Assume overall responsibility for project progress, working closely with the Site Superintendent to deliver within scope, budget, and client requirements. Communicate project status effectively with clients and internal teams to maintain transparency and strong relationships. Coordinate and manage subcontractors, addressing challenges such as scheduling, labour, delivery, and payment issues. Identify and mitigate project risks through proactive planning and problem solving. Conduct regular site visits and meetings to monitor progress and ensure compliance with project documents. Review drawings and specifications to ensure all work is performed according to the latest approved documents. Track and manage project budgets, costs, and invoices while ensuring fiscal accountability. Prepare progress billings, reports, meeting minutes, and close-out documentation. Ensure all regulatory, environmental, and health & safety standards are met throughout the project lifecycle. What You’ll Need to Be Successful: University or College degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 4 years of experience managing ICI (Industrial, Commercial, Institutional) construction projects, including renovations, new builds, and interior fit-ups. Strong understanding of construction processes, standards, and best practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general project management software. Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship management skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Valid G driver’s license. Availability to occasionally respond to site requirements or facility needs outside of regular hours.
