Production Engineer

Production Engineer Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire Salary: £36,000 – £42,000 per annum Job Type: Full-time, Permanent We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing manufacturer based in Aylesbury, who are seeking an experienced Production Engineer to join their engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in aerospace or automotive manufacturing to step into a key role supporting production processes, continuous improvement, and technical problem-solving on the shop floor. Key Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day engineering support to production teams, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal output. Develop and improve manufacturing processes using lean and Six Sigma principles. Collaborate with design and quality departments to resolve technical issues. Support the introduction of new products and processes into production. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process efficiency improvements. Assist with tooling, jigs, and fixture design as required. Requirements: Degree, HND, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Proven experience in a production engineering or manufacturing engineering role. Background in aerospace, automotive , or similar high-precision manufacturing sectors. Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Confident in interpreting technical drawings and specifications. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
