Technical Advisor (Fruit Industry)

Our client, a global leader in fruit variety management, is looking for a Technical Advisor to join their team based in Stellenbosch , Western Cape. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect and collaborate with producers. They must demonstrate a high level of integrity, reliability, and adaptability in a small-team environment. Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) : *Providing technical advice and assistance to growers *Developing and implementing protocols for optimal cultivation practices *Conducting regular on-site visits and maintaining grower relationships *Coordinating and managing activities at trial sites *Conducting and overseeing pre- and post-harvest trials *All other tasks related to the role. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: BSc Agric (Horticulture, Agronomy, Plant Production, or similar); MSc will be advantageous; Minimum 2-4 years experience in a similar role within the fruit industry; Experience in citrus cultivation (experience with other fruit crops beneficial); Willingness to travel extensively within South Africa and occasionally internationally.
