Vacancy: Fitter – Structural Engineering / Construction Position Overview We are seeking a qualified and experienced Fitter to join our team in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical equipment used in mineral processing plants. Key Responsibilities: - Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant machinery, including crushers, conveyors, pumps, and related equipment. - Diagnose faults and carry out repairs during scheduled and unscheduled plant shutdowns. - Install, test, and commission mechanical systems in accordance with industry standards. - Adhere to safety protocols and contribute to a culture of zero harm. - Complete job cards, maintenance reports, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. - Collaborate with engineering, production, and safety teams to ensure optimal equipment performance. Requirements: - Trade qualification as a Fitter (Red Seal or equivalent). - Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Fitter in a mining processing environment. - Sound knowledge of maintenance practices on bulk commodity and/or precious metal processing equipment. - Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to interpret technical drawings. - Commitment to safe working practices and familiar with SHEQ regulations. - Ability to work shifts, overtime, and under pressure as required. - Good communication and teamwork skills.
