Legal Counsel

Responsibilities Provide legal support for the company’s video game publishing and distribution operations. Draft, review, and negotiate agreements related to game publishing, licensing, and distribution. Advise business teams on contract terms, risk mitigation, and regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, including game content approvals and data protection laws. Support corporate governance and assist in M&A transactions when required. Coordinate with external law firms and corporate secretaries as needed. Assist with drafting of minutes and corporate resolutions. Resolve routine corporate legal matters and provide general legal guidance. Handle other legal tasks as assigned. Job Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized institution. At least 5 years of relevant experience in a law firm or in-house legal role. Experience in commercial contract review and negotiation, particularly under Singapore law. Ability to work independently and manage legal matters in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and practical business sense. Proficiency in English and Chinese (Mandarin) for contract negotiations with Chinese partners. Independent at work while being able to work collaboratively at all levels and across functions. Good legal research skills, including for foreign jurisdictions. Resourceful, able to adjust to changing requirements, schedules and priorities in a fast paced environment. Organizational skills with ability to monitor follow-through. Familiarity with PRC legal frameworks, particularly in gaming or digital industries, is an advantage but not required.
