Job Description Job Description Attorney of Leasing provides counsel and handles daily issues regarding the company's leases and the interpretation and enforcement of lease provisions. Responsibilities include negotiating the company’s position with opposing counsel and landlords' representatives for new leases, ancillary lease documentation, letter agreements, lease amendments, subleases, assignments and other related contracts. Attorney advocates the Company’s positions on essential lease, operating, and corporate issues in leases, subordination /non-disturbance agreements, estoppels, license agreements, amendments and other related contracts. Draft, prepare, review and analyze appropriate leasing and other legal documents. Required experience: 0-5 years transactional commercial real estate Company Description Douglas Emmett operates approximately 18 million square feet of Class A office space and over 5,000 luxury apartment units in nine highly desirable submarkets in Los Angeles County, six of which are located in Los Angeles' Westside - Brentwood, Century City, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, the Olympic Corridor, and Westwood - and three submarkets in the San Fernando Valley - Sherman Oaks/Encino, Warner Center/Woodland Hills, and Burbank.
