We are seeking an exceptional Events Head Chef to lead our culinary direction for retreats, celebrations, and bespoke outdoor events. This is an opportunity to express creativity in a setting that honours sustainability, local produce, and authentic hospitality. What You’ll Do Lead the culinary design and delivery for events, retreats, and banquets, from intimate al fresco dining to high-end celebrations. Create menus inspired by seasonal ingredients from our regenerative gardens and artisanal suppliers. Oversee kitchen operations across multiple venues, ensuring consistency, excellence, and impeccable presentation. Collaborate closely with the events and service teams to craft experiences that are as memorable as they are flavourful. Train, mentor, and motivate a passionate kitchen team, fostering creativity and precision. Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and sustainability in every aspect of the operation. What You Bring South African citizen or valid work permit holder. 5 years’ experience in event, banqueting, or fine-dining environments, ideally within boutique hotels, lodges, or destination properties. Proven success in managing large-scale events and outdoor dining experiences. Deep respect for local ingredients, sustainable sourcing, and mindful cooking. Strong leadership, time-management, and cost-control skills. A calm, creative presence under pressure and a love for crafting meals that connect people with place.
