Employer Description Hotel Group Job Description A game reserve in the Eastern Cape is seeking a hands-on, systems-savvy General Manager to lead daily operations with precision and care. This live-in role demands a proactive leader who thrives in a dynamic hospitality environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences. Key Responsibilities: Full operational oversight of the lodge, including staff, guest experience and service standards Oversee and execute daily room checks to maintain high standards Manage and streamline administrative duties with accuracy and efficiency Coordinate and confirm guest bookings for day safaris and river cruises Ensure smooth operational flow across departments Utilize hospitality systems to monitor performance and guest satisfaction Qualifications Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or related field Proven experience in hospitality management, preferably in a lodge or reserve setting Strong administrative and systems knowledge (PMS, POS, booking platforms) Own reliable vehicle – NON- NEGOTIABLE Willingness to work without a fixed cycle (standard weekly leave applies) Skills Strong leadership and team management abilities High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards Proficient in booking systems, operational software, and reporting tools Excellent communication and guest-relations skills Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure Flexible, solution-oriented and hands-on approach to problem-solving Benefits Accommodation Meals on duty Use of company vehicle strictly limited to operational lodge duties.
