Hospitality and Outdoor – New Vacancy – Assistant Restaurant Manager Luxury Hotel – Cape Town Our client, a luxury hotel, is looking for a dynamic and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery at their Café Grill Restaurant. Requirements • Matric • Diploma/degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or Restaurant Management beneficial • Certifications in Food Safety or Wine Knowledge is advantageous • 3 – 5 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role within a fine dining or luxury hospitality setting. • Strong ability to supervise and motivate staff, ensuring they adhere to service standards. • Experience in staff training, coaching, and performance management. • Commitment to delivering world-class dining experiences and addressing guest needs promptly. • Proficiency in handling guest feedback and implementing improvements • Knowledge of restaurant operations, including reservations, seating plans, and service workflows. • Familiarity with POS systems and operational reporting tools. • Understanding menu offerings, food presentation, and beverage pairings. • Ability to make recommendations to guests and assist with menu planning. • Basic knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and inventory management. • Ability to monitor revenue trends and suggest strategies for improvement. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with staff, management, and guests. • Ability to convey instructions clearly and prepare basic reports. • Meticulous in ensuring every aspect of the guest experience meets 5-star standards. • Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. • A genuine enthusiasm for creating exceptional guest experiences. • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and management. • Experience in luxury dining or hotel chains. • Knowledge of South African cuisine, wines, and dining trends. • Familiarity with luxury service standards Package • Salary: R 18 000 pm DOE plus benefits • Live out Start date: ASAP
