Food And Beverage Manager - Business Hotel - Cape Town Seaboard

An experienced, hands-on F&B Manager is required for a business hotel in the Cape Town Seaboard region. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food and beverage operations within a hotel, ensuring profitability, guest satisfaction, and compliance with regulations. This includes managing staff, creating menus, controlling costs, maintaining quality standards, and implementing strategies to boost sales. Requirements: At least 4 - 6 years’ F&BM experience in a large hotel A Hospitality Diploma Computer literate in Opera, Micros Excellent Excel Skills Excellent written and telephonic skills Good planning, organisational and time management skills Accuracy Required Characteristics: Honest Professional Good judgment Long-term orientated An excellent mediator Proactive problem solver Strong attention to detail Disciplined and able to multi task. A People’s person; good with guests. A team leader who sets a good example. Able to act decisively and quickly when necessary. Key Responsibilities: Daily Operations: Supervising and coordinating all F&B outlets, including restaurants, bars, banquets, and room service. Staff Management: Hiring, training, and evaluating staff, ensuring high morale and performance. Menu Development: Collaborating with chefs to create and implement menus that meet guest preferences and financial goals. Cost Control: Monitoring expenses, implementing cost-saving measures, and ensuring profitability within budget. Quality Control: Maintaining consistent food and beverage quality, ensuring hygiene standards, and addressing guest complaints. Inventory Management: Overseeing inventory, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste. Sales and Marketing: Developing and implementing strategies to increase F&B revenue, such as promotions and events. Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations. Guest Satisfaction: Providing excellent customer service and resolving guest issues promptly
