Lodge-Based Role: LODGE MANAGER VACANCY Location: Madikwe Game Reserve, North West Province Property Type: 5* Luxury Safari Lodge (Big 5) Salary: R25,000 – R28,000 per month (DOE) Setup: Live-in Position Overview A prestigious luxury safari lodge in the Madikwe region seeks a seasoned Lodge Manager to oversee all facets of lodge operations. This is a high-impact role demanding strong leadership across guest relations, food & beverage, service standards, and interdepartmental coordination. The Lodge Manager will ensure that every guest departure ends with lasting memories. Key Responsibilities Lead daily operations across F&B, guest services, housekeeping, guiding, and activities Deliver exemplary guest relations – anticipate, respond to, and follow up on guest needs Oversee service quality and consistency to 5-star lodging standards Coordinate with F&B leadership to manage menu consistency, guest dining experiences, and special events Ensure staffing schedules, training, and performance management maintain high standards Monitor lodge budgets, expense controls, and cost efficiencies Oversee stock management, procurement, and resource planning Maintain communication and coordination across all departments for seamless guest journey Address operational or guest issues swiftly and with discretion Requirements & Experience Minimum 5 years’ lodge management or senior leadership experience in a 5-star lodge environment Strong Food & Beverage expertise and service operations background Exceptional guest relations skills with proven track record managing high-end clientele Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor a multidisciplinary team Solid financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, P&L responsibility Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Resilient, visible leadership presence, capacity to work under pressure Familiarity with safari lodge operations, remote settings, and hospitality standards Personal Attributes Warm, gracious, and guest-centric personality Professional, presentable, and steady under pressure Detail-oriented, proactive problem solver Ability to inspire trust and loyalty among staff Passionate about nature, wildlife, and immersive safari experiences Package & Benefits Monthly salary: R25,000 – R28,000 (subject to experience) On-site live-in accommodation Opportunity to lead a luxury safari lodge in a prime game reserve setting TO APPLY: Submit your CV, contactable references, and a recent head & shoulders photograph ASAP.
