Reservationist - Central Drakensberg

Hotel in the central Drakensberg is looking for a Reservationist. Duties: Handle incoming reservation calls and emails, ensuring accurate booking information is captured. Provide clients with information regarding availability, rates, and room types (or other relevant products/services). Process and confirm reservations, including special requests and requirements. Coordinating with other departments, such as housekeeping and front desk, to ensure smooth guest experiences Resolve customer inquiries, concerns, and changes to bookings in a timely and professional manner. Maintain and update reservation records in the system. Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Front Desk, Sales, etc.) to ensure a seamless guest experience. Assist with cancellations, no-shows, and rebooking’s as necessary. Provide outstanding customer service and ensure customer satisfaction. Liaise with clients, sales team and operational departments Allocation of payments and banking daily Prepare daily reports Perform other duties and tasks as operationally required Requirements: Grade 12 Hospitality diploma Minimum of 2 years in a 4/ 5-star hotel as a reservationist Previously experience at a hotel in an isolated environment Having a 3-year recognised, is a strong advantage Proficient in Microsoft 365 Proficient in one or more of the Opera, E-Res and Apply Below platforms Possess strong guest relations experience, excellent phone etiquette Possess strong mathematical skills Possess administrative skills Possess excellent writing and verbal skills, paying attention to spelling and grammar Be fluent in English Package on offer: R9K Single live-in accommodation All meals Provident fund (7,5% employer, 7,5% employee) Share of pooled tips 6 days OFF monthly, 21 days of Annual leave Uniform
