Anti-Poaching Manager | Tanzania

is partnering with a Luxury Safari Group in Tanzania to recruit a hands on and passionate - to join their team. The Anti-Poaching Manager will be responsible for leading and coordinating wildlife protection operations across a large conservation area in Tanzania. This field-based position calls for a humble, hands-on leader who is willing to work alongside the team on the ground. The successful candidate will oversee a sizeable ranger force, ensuring operational effectiveness, team readiness, and adherence to safety standards, while demonstrating agility, sound judgment, and strong physical capability. The role reports directly to the organisation’s senior leadership ● Qualifications in wildlife management, conservation, or related fields ● Advanced training in specialist areas such as anti-poaching strategies, K9 unit operations, tactical patrols, tracking, wildlife crime investigations, firearms handling, wilderness medical response, advanced bushcraft, and Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC). ● 10 years’ anti-poaching or high-risk bush experience with proven leadership ● Strong physical fitness and mental resilience ● Competence in using patrol and tracking technologies (EarthRanger, SMART, CyberTracker), GIS mapping tools, radio and satellite communications, drone operations, and Microsoft Office applications. ● Lead patrols, surveillance, and rapid response operations ● Manage, train, and mentor up to 80 rangers ● Coordinate with law enforcement, conservation agencies, and communities ● Deploy and maintain surveillance technology (drones, thermal imaging, tracking systems) – $4 000 - $4 500 gross with live in benefits ➡️ - Although we appreciate all applications received, we will only reply to those candidates who have the background and experience required.
