Duty Manager / Host Role Overview The Duty Manager, referred to as the Host, plays a central role in ensuring a seamless and high-quality guest journey. This position requires a balance of operational oversight, guest interaction, and coordination across departments to deliver a consistent standard of service and comfort. Guest Experience & Hosting The Host is the main point of contact for guests during their stay. They manage arrivals and departures, oversee room and space readiness, and ensure that guest needs and requests are handled promptly. This includes coordinating activities, scheduling services, and liaising with both internal teams and external providers. Attention to detail and responsiveness are key to creating a smooth guest experience. Daily Operations Oversight The Host oversees the daily rhythm of the property, acting as the bridge between guests and departments. They ensure communication flows, identify and follow up on maintenance issues, and support the preparation of activities and shared spaces. A calm and professional presence is essential to guide the team and maintain standards. Stock & Ordering The Host also manages certain stock and ordering responsibilities, including monthly and weekly checks, maintaining inventory records, and ordering guest amenities, supplies, and ad hoc items to ensure smooth operations.
