Job Description
Hospitality and Outdoor – General Manager Luxury Lodge – Namibia Requirements · Dual citizenship/valid work permit for Namibia (Non-Negotiable) · A relevant tertiary qualification in either Management or Hospitality · At least 3 years Management experience in Luxury establishments · Previous experience in remote lodges is highly beneficial · Be energetic, proactive and a well-developed concept of delivering a world-class guest experience · Strong communication and interpersonal skills · Excellent financial acumen and computer skills including skills in Access · Knowledgeable in lodge operations in all departments · Be a strong leader, a great mentor and have outstanding employee coaching and development skills · Excellent organisational and management skills with attention to detail · Be well presented, honest, diligent and a self-motivator · Must have an outgoing, warm and friendly personality Responsibilities · Relationship building with staff, guests, government departments, the community and the industry · Building Corporate Social Responsibility · Be business efficient and knowledgeable of HR structures working with HR staff, overall responsibility of HR ensuring correct execution · Plan staffing levels and empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs · Product development and be engaging with all associated · Manage resources and analyse the impact sustainability has on the business as well as reduce the Carbon Footprint · Financial Management, Forecasting, Health and Safety · Plan, evaluate and improve efficiency of business processes · Manage the preparation and maintenance of reports · Maintain communication with all HOD’s, regional manager, the director and others within the organisation · Ensure the lodge and brand taken to the next level of service standards · CAPEX structuring, planning responsibility, budget creation and management · Create strategy for guest delight, staff welfare, health and safety training · Work with departments to ensure &Beyond Lodge and Service standards are maintained as well as costs and budgets not exceeded · Hosting of all Agents, Media and VIP Groups · Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned Package on Offer · Salary – Market Related · Live in Start date: ASAP
