Hospitality and Outdoor - Head Chef Luxury Safari Lodge – Madikwe Game Reserve, North West Requirements · Matric · At least 5 years’ experience as Head Chef in a comparable position at 5-star level · Professional culinary diploma or similar advantageous · Familiar with HACCP requirements and standards · Puts the wishes of guests first and is willing to go the extra mile · Honest personality with integrity and likes to work in a team with no hierarchical thinking · Good judgement in all situations with excellent planning and organisational skills · Be flexible and adaptable · Able to act decisively and quickly when necessary · Professional and presentable Description · Lead a small team of cooks and kitchen staff · Cook for guests (20 guests in Full Camp) at 5-star level and staff members according to meal plan · Present and introduce new meals/dishes · Responsible for food & beverage management – purchasing, hygiene and stock · Optimal use of food stocks (compliance with budget targets) · Responsible for cleanliness of the kitchen Package on offer · Salary – R 13 000 pm · Annual bonus based on company performance (not guaranteed) · Company contribution (R 1600) to Private Health Insurance (after 3 months prob) · Pension Plan with 7,5% company contribution (after 3 months prob) · Accommodation (own room and bathroom) and Wi-Fi · Gratuities · Uniform · Meals · Working cycle – 6 weeks on and 2 weeks off plus 10 days annual leave Start date: ASAP
