✨ Sous Chef – Luxury Lodge ✨ Kalahari Reserve, Northern Cape | DOE | Live-in Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join a luxury lodge in the Kalahari Reserve. This is a hands-on role for someone with a passion for high-end cuisine, team leadership, and operational excellence in a fast-paced, 5-star kitchen environment. What you’ll be doing: Mentor, train, and lead the kitchen team to deliver exceptional culinary standards Streamline kitchen operations, including stock control, preparation, presentation, and waste reduction Plan and implement seasonal menus that reflect the lodge’s culinary philosophy Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety Oversee kitchen administration, monitor costs, and implement effective controls Ensure dietary and religious requirements are met while keeping innovation and presentation at the forefront What you’ll need: Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Sous Chef in a 5-star establishment Professional cooking and food hygiene qualifications Strong multitasking and leadership skills in a high-pressure environment Knowledge of current food trends and menu development Competence in stock management, budgeting, and kitchen administration Commitment to high standards of presentation and culinary excellence Who you are: A creative, organised, and driven culinary professional who thrives in a luxury lodge environment.
