Job Description
This luxury lodge estate on the outskirts of Bonnievale offers trend setting cuisine matched with award winning wines from the region. Offering a choice of daily prepared meals to Villa Guests, relaxed evening dinners are paired with wines, and the food style has a distinct overseas flair with intricate plating components, beautifully styled and eclectic flavours of Europe infused with contemporary South African cuisine. We are in search of a young and creative CHEF TOURNANT / JUNIOR SOUS CHEF who shows true initiative and determination in pursuing his/her dream in the culinary arts. While the food is described as “casually elegant” , production methods and culinary techniques used are advanced and require a chef’s full attention and focus. REQUIREMENTS: ° Recognised 1 or 2 years FULL-TIME Cheffing Qualification. ° Minimum 3-years’ experience within a 5* hotel or leading fine dining team. ° Comfortable running and rotating between the three main sections of the kitchen. ° Ability to engineer and create individual courses as needed create your own list of purchases daily. ° Friendly and outgoing personality with excellent communication skills to HOST guests for evening Lodge service. ° Must be PASSIONATE about food, know your basics, display a positive attitude and truly excited about your cheffing career and goals.
