Assistant Accountant | Cape Winelands

is currently assisting a well-established luxury property in the Cape Winelands in sourcing an experienced . The ideal candidate is there to provide essential financial support to the Financial Manager and the broader Finance Team, ensuring that day-to-day operations are accurate, efficient, and compliant with internal processes. They will take ownership of tasks such as processing cash books, managing debtors and creditors, handling stock administration, and performing reconciliations. With strong attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset, the ideal candidate plays a key role in maintaining the financial health and smooth operation of the organization. Requirements: · Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field · Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar Financial Accounting role within the hospitality sector. · Experience capturing of cash book and daily cash-up reconciliation & general ledger functions including journal entries. · Debtors administration including issuing of invoices, account reconciliations and collections. · Creditors administration including capturing of invoices, account reconciliations and loading of payments. · Manage stock administration including invoice capturing and monthly stock take. · Handle petty cash administration and ordering of centralized goods. · Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, accounting systems (pastel), and experience in Easipos will be advantageous. · High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a solutions-focused mindset. · Stable employment history with contactable references. – On application – live out - Only open to South African citizens ➡️ PLEASE NOTE: Although we appreciate all applications received, we will only reply to those candidates who have the background and experience required.
