In this role, you’ll oversee the full lifecycle of complex civil and infrastructure projects (focusing on sewer and watermain sector projects) from estimating support and planning through execution and closeout. What You Bring 5–10 years of progressive construction experience, including 3 years in a leadership or project management capacity. Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline. Experience with open cut and/or sewer and watermain experience considered an asset. Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and resource planning with precision. Strong understanding of construction methods, contract law, and cost control principles. Skilled communicator capable of leading diverse teams and managing client relationships. Proficiency in project management and scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent). Valid G driver’s license and willingness to visit project sites regularly. What You’ll be Doing As a Project Manager, you’ll lead the full lifecycle of construction projects. From the initial planning phase, execution of the project, to the closeout, you will ensure safety, quality, and profitability at every stage. You’ll oversee schedules, budgets, and resources, while guiding your team with confidence and professionalism. Communication with clients, subcontractors, and senior leadership will be required on a regular basis to foster strong relationships and allow for transparent information and accountability. You’ll draw on your technical expertise and practical site experience to anticipate challenges, solve problems quickly, and keep projects moving forward. You’ll balance big-picture strategy with day-to-day coordination, ensuring operational excellence without losing sight of details that drive success. Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution Develop detailed project plans including budgets, schedules, milestones, and resource allocations. Lead coordination between design, operations, and field teams to ensure alignment on objectives and priorities. Oversee all project phases from mobilization to completion, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Financial & Commercial Management Prepare, monitor, and report on project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow. Track earned value metrics and ensure accurate cost and quantity reporting. Identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiencies, and value-added solutions. Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and develop project staff, including Coordinators and Foremen. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth. Conduct regular project and team meetings to maintain clear communication and direction. Client & Stakeholder Relations Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and partners. Manage change orders, claims, and commercial correspondence to ensure alignment with project objectives. Build and maintain strong relationships through transparency, responsiveness, and integrity. Risk, Quality & Compliance Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies early in the project lifecycle. Ensure quality assurance standards are upheld through inspections and audits. Enforce compliance with all health, safety, and environmental requirements.
