TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in White Plains, New York, 10601! Pay Information $2,426 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hours Days Hours per Shift: 34.5 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS BLS (AHA) NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Must-Have: BSN preferred Description: The unit has 14 beds, including 5 used for triage/inpatient care, 6 for labor, and 2 for operating room procedures. Certifications required include ACLS, NRP, and preferably RN-C. Nurses will work with two electronic medical record systems, Meditech and GE. Charge nurses are not to take patients and will work three days per week alongside a unit leader. Scrub technicians are utilized to assist with patient care. Every third weekend is a requirement for day shifts, with a total of three weekend shifts within a four-week period; night shift weekend duties consist of Friday and Saturday. Travelers are not assigned holiday shifts. Scrubs will be provided. There is in-house hospitalist or intensivist coverage three nights a week. The unit operates with a rapid response team available 24/7. Pharmacy support is also available 24/7. Nurses may float to the OB or nursery areas but will not take on patient responsibilities in these rotations. Floor-specific orientation will be provided for 2-3 shifts. Common diagnoses include patients requiring C-sections, high-risk obstetric patients, and low-risk antepartum patients. Nurses are expected to scrub for C-sections and manage high-risk experiences in a fast-paced environment. Nurses will conduct full assessments and exams but will not insert intrauterine pressure catheters.
