TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in White Plains, New York, 10601! Pay Information $2,426 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12 Hours Nights Hours per Shift: 34.5 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Must-Have: High-risk obstetrics experience Description: Minimum 2 years of experience required. BSN preferred. Unit has 14 beds: 5 beds are used as triage/inpatient beds, 6 labor beds, and 2 OR beds. Certifications needed include ACLS and NRP; RN-C preferred. Ratios are based on unit needs. Charting is done in two systems: Meditech and GE. Charge nurse does not take patients and works 3 days a week. Unit lead is also present. Scrub techs are available for support. Every 3rd weekend for days is required; 3 weekend shifts in a 4-week period are expected. Night shift weekends include Friday and Saturday. Travelers are not required to work holidays. Scrub colors are provided by the hospital. Coverage by hospitalist or intensivist is available in-house. IV Team is available 24/7. Pharmacy support is available 24/7. Floating will occur in OB or nursery, but nurses will not take patients. Floor-specific orientation will be for 2-3 shifts. Common diagnoses include C-sections, high-risk obstetrics, and low-risk antepartum patients. Nurses are expected to scrub for C-sections. Magnesium patients are cared for on this unit. Nurses must be strong and comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Nurses complete full assessments and exams. The unit does not insert IUPCs. Customer service orientation is very important. Skills assessment includes inquiry about past assignments and patient ratios.
