About The Position Job Title: Nurse Educator Profession: Nurse Specialty: Education Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Flexible Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience in the assigned nursing practice area License: Licensed as a registered nurse with current registration in Client Certifications: Professional Board certification in clinical specialty or staff development recommended Must-Have: 1. Relevant clinical experience in the assigned area of nursing practice. 2. Ability to maintain and promote interpersonal relationships. 3. Effective communication and critical thinking skills. 4. Proficient in reading, writing, understanding, and speaking English clearly. 5. Visual, physical, auditory, and cognitive ability to assess patient status. 6. Physical and mental health necessary to care for acutely ill patients. 7. Ability to walk, stand, lift, stoop, push, and respond quickly in various situations. 8. Manual dexterity to perform clinical procedures relevant to practice area. Description: Leads nursing practice using the tenets of Relationship Centered Care. Demonstrates proficiency in Purposeful Hourly Rounding (PHR). Role models expected behaviors in PHR. Ensures integration of PHR into clinical activities. Validates staff competency in PHR. Provides meaningful feedback to staff regarding PHR. Communicates quantitative and qualitative information related to patient experience. Collaborates with nurse management and escalates concerns as appropriate. Follows up on patient concerns in a timely manner.
