As a Tax Co-Op at LGA, you'll have the opportunity to gain valuable insight and hands-on experience in the world of tax, while becoming part of a supportive team that will guide you each step of the way. During your time at LGA, you will: Work on Real Projects: Gain exposure to a variety of tax returns, including individual, partnership, and corporate filings, providing you with a comprehensive understanding of different tax structures. Develop Key Skills: Learn essential skills in tax preparation, research, and analysis, which are vital for any career in accounting. Collaborate with Professionals: Work closely with experienced tax professionals who will mentor and support you as you grow your technical expertise. Become Part of the Team: Be fully integrated into our culture, attend firm events, and build meaningful relationships with colleagues at all levels of the organization. Career Development: Participate in ongoing training sessions, receive performance feedback, and get the opportunity to explore various pathways within public accounting. Responsibilities and Skills: Have a strong interest in, and work towards, developing an awareness in the tax arena for business and personal tax engagements. Exude intellectual curiosity, have strong analytical and attention to detail skills. Demonstrate the ability to interact and communicate confidently and concisely with various levels of firm management in both written and verbal form Be self-motivated and energic with the ability to work independently within a collaborative team environment. Produce high quality work which adheres to the relevant professional standards. Be adept at utilizing various tax software as well as Adobe, Word, PowerPoint and Excel. An ability to balance between differing tasks and time management. Eagerness to contribute to a fast-growing, team environment. Ability to work on-site for 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday).
