We are looking for Refrigeration Rack Service Technicians that not only have the skills, but the drive to succeed in a fast-paced work environment. We are looking for technicians that want to keep learning, that want to grow, that take pride in their work and go the extra mile for their customers. PLEASE NOTE: Because this position requires significant travel, the job posting location simply reflects one of the areas that the ideal candidate will be working in. You will travel to each job site with your own vehicle (travel allowance provided), but there is no centralized office to report to. We do have an office in Dexter, MO that the candidate will have to come to their first week for training, orientation, and also end of year trainings. Responsibilities/Duties Candidate(s) will be traveling a lot and will be working as both an installer and a service technician when needed. Candidate will spend a lot of time on the road. Candidate(s) will need to work well with others in both a shop environment as well as on a customer’s location within the United States. Chosen Candidates will have the opportunity to work on most of the major refrigeration equipment manufacturers. Assist in the Install, Troubleshoot, and Repair Hardware, Electrical Components in Commercial Refrigeration Equipment. Must have assorted Hand tools, Power Tools, etc. (Specialty tools will be provided) Must be willing to travel and stay away from home for long periods of time. You will be responsible for installing refrigeration systems, including rack systems, walk-in coolers, and freezers. This involves following blueprints and schematics, running refrigerant lines, wiring, and piping, and ensuring all systems are installed to industry standards. You will regularly inspect refrigeration systems to ensure they are functioning properly. This includes checking refrigerant levels, inspecting motors and compressors, cleaning coils, and replacing worn or damaged parts. When issues arise, you will be responsible for identifying the problem and implementing a solution. This may involve diagnosing electrical or mechanical problems, replacing components, and making adjustments to systems to optimize performance. If a refrigeration system breaks down, you will be responsible for repairing or replacing faulty components to get the system back up and running. You will ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations, and industry standards. You will provide excellent customer service by communicating with clients to explain issues, recommendations, and any necessary repairs or upgrades. Must have Supermarket Rack refrigeration experience Mechanical Proficiency Technical Aptitude Troubleshooting Reliability Communication Skills Customer Service Mindset A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required, as well as technical training in refrigeration systems Basic knowledge of Commercial Refrigeration Accurately complete the necessary documents/paperwork in a timely manner Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and management Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required to diagnose and repair complex refrigeration issues Ability to work under pressure in high stress environment A self-starter that can work independently as well as work with a team This job may require working in confined spaces, lifting heavy equipment, and standing for long periods of time Physical Requirements in Job Description: The ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly The ability to be alert and responsive in your surroundings The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces The ability to stand for periods of 6 hours or more The ability to sit for long periods of time if required The ability to safely climb ladders while carrying up to 40 pounds The ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds The ability to wear required PPE correctly at all times Salary: $32/hour and up based on experience Experience: Refrigeration: 2 years (Preferred) Walmart, Sam's Club or Food Lion (Required) License/Certification: EPA 608 (Preferred) Driver's License (Required) IND123 Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Referral program Vision insurance Weekly travel allowance Experience: Rack System Startup: 3 years (Required) Overnight Shift (Required) Willingness to travel: 75% (Required) Work Location: On the road Company Description We offer procurement, construction, installation and integration of all refrigeration components specializing in cascade, CO2, rack systems, DX systems with design-build services available to cover all your refrigeration needs.
