In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and servicing diesel-powered agricultural machinery, vehicles, trucks, and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. Your expertise in diagnosing mechanical faults, performing preventive maintenance, and conducting repairs will be essential to support efficient farming operations and compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards. To achieve success in this role, you should hold a Grade 12/NQF 4 qualification and be a qualified Diesel Mechanic (Red Seal/Trade Tested) with 3-5 years of experience, preferably in agriculture and transport. A Code 14 drivers licence with PDP is advantageous. Strong diagnostic, welding/fabrication, and auto-electrical skills, combined with the ability to work independently in the field and maintain accurate records, will ensure smooth operations.
